About me
My name is Jozsef Bognar. I am a self-taught, passionate nature and landscape photographer from Hungary. I grew up - and currently live - in the region of Mátra Mountain in Hungary. Did my school locally and in Budapest, and continued it in the United States with my professional studies in business management.
Since 2012, I have joined a couple of workshops led by internationally known photographers in iconic locations in Europe and in the USA. I have also been acquainted with talented Hungarian photographers and made photo tours in and outland with them.
I have learned a lot about what makes a photograph unique and how natural light and composition play an important role in creating a moody picture.
Having a technical background, the technical aspects of photography and digital image processing was familiar area for me. I have now developed a workflow from clicking the exposure button, post-processing, printing, and web presentation.
International traveling has been minimal in recent years, which, taking the benefits of it, allowed me to deepen the discovery of the close vicinity of the area where I live, Mátra Mountain.
Lately I have extended my scope to night-scape photography, gaining a lot of knowledge about the Moon, Planets, our Sun, the Milky Way, and the whole Universe.
